Martial art systems

Karasac martial arts also teaches Pancak Mande Muda Silat, Jeet Kune Do Concepts (JKD) and Kali / Escrima / Arnis self defence systems alongside 108 Wing Chun Kune.

108 Wing Chun

Wing Chun is a Chinese martial arts specialised for close quarter combat with Practical Street fighting applications it consists of empty hand, weapon and dummy forms (Mok Jong).

Legend has it Wing Chun was developed  by a woman to defeat a warlord and as such focuses on developing dynamic, explosive strikes and leveraging against an opponent instead of relying on physical strength. Continuous and repetitive drills develop speed, accuracy and power enabling the practitioner to overcome a physically larger and stronger opponent with maximum efficiency.

Students train through the syllabus by learning solo forms and partner drills while learning how to trap, grapple and strike (punching/kicking) then applying these principles to self defence.

108 Wing Chun is proud to be a representative of Sifu Fong's FFIA & Sifu Joseph Lee's Wing Chun International.

Pancak Mande Muda Silat

Silat is a diverse South Asian martial art being practiced in Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia; popularised in the films The Raid and The Raid 2.

The Indonesian branch of Silat is often referred to as Pancak or Panjak Silat, the system relies on the practitioner’s manipulation of control or pressure points and angle of attack to throw the opponent off balance allowing a less physically abled person to overcome a superior opponent.

At 108 we focus on Mande Muda Pencak Silat & The Maphaindo hybrid system as taught by Guro Inosanto.

Jeet Kune Do Concepts (JKD)

JKD is the personal representation of martial art deriving from Bruce Lee & Jun Fan Gung Fu.

It is a compound art comprising elements from my diverse range of traditional martial arts including but not exclusively Wing Chun, Savate, Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling praying Mantis Kung Fu and other systems. In conjunction with each other these elements serve to provide a framework for self expression and a vehicle platform for seeking the truth one's personal truth through combat. Key issue is that each element should be functional and practical and apply as part of reality for the individual involved in seeking to use these diverse and compound structures as a way of solving the problems faced in the real street Combat.
